Why Should You Attend:

  • Do you know that the impact of aircraft failures increasing with complexity in software such as in the case of Boeing 737 Max?
  • Are all R&D managers and engineers trained in the science of proactively predicting safety mishaps that result from poor reliability and durability, and designing them out during the concept stage when it costs very little or no cost?
  • Do all design and manufacturing engineers have the same training?
  • Do you prevent manufacturing faults that can result in failures?
  • Do you have verification and validation strategies for identifying new reliability and durability concerns that affect safety?
  • Do all employees have training on “Always Design for Zero Failures”?

The biggest reason for aerospace excessive failure rates is that most specifications miss about 60% requirements. You will learn how to write good performance specifications by conducting the risk analysis the right way with a right team, and during the concept design.

The webinar will teach you how to identify early failures, random failures, and end of life failures proactively, and how to brainstorm creatively so that the cost of preventing failures is surprisingly low resulting in very high future savings.

Areas Covered in the Webinar:

  • Reasons for high failure rates throughout the life cycle
  • New paradigms for reliability and durability
  • Writing robust performance specifications for reliability and durability
  • Conducting risk analysis prior to approving the specifications
  • Design strategies for preventing life cycle failures
  • Design Failure Mode, Effects, and Criticality Analysis(D-FMECA)
  • Process Failure Mode, Effects, and Criticality Analysis(P-FMECA)
  • Fault Tree Analysis
  • Event Tree Analysis
  • Strategies for designing out manufacturing faults
  • Accelerated life testing for reliability
  • Accelerated life testing for durability
  • Verification for reliability and durability
  • Validation testing for reliability and durability
  • Management responsibility

Who Will Benefit:

  • Top management
  • R&D engineers and managers
  • Reliability and durability engineering staff
  • Manufacturing engineers and managers
  • Product safety staff
  • Quality Assurance staff
  • Marketing managers
