Why Should You Attend:

Many workplace accidents are attributed to behavioral-based factors, such as not wearing the proper PPE or not observing good housekeeping. The injuries that result from such behavior cost the employer thousands of dollars through loss of time accidents, poor production, and OSHA fines.

A tool for creating a “bottom-up” system of employee driven safety culture is the behavioral based safety system (BBS). This system is built to complement your other work efforts such as the job hazard analysis, safety audits, and a comprehensive safety training program. This webinar will discuss how, by including BBS into your existing system, the employer can observe and correct at risk behavior through a minimally confrontational approach. The BBS is akin to coaching your workers to safer work practices, through involvement and active listening.

Learning Objectives:

This program will be helpful in identifying and understanding:

  • What is the BBS system of safety?
  • What are the benefits of the BBS system?
  • How to I start a BBS system?
  • What are the two types of behaviors observed?
  • How can I coach my workers to safer behaviors?
  • What is the role of management?
